Litecoin just broke down below critical support level/line (see first black line on chart). Between here and +/- $84 there is not much, and $84 is not a major support level; with volume being this low, it will break within a week, followed by a massive crash that will bring litecoin sub $40, probably in the $28-$36 range.
Litecoin has no use case. It's creator sold all his coins and warned that $20 per LTC is incoming. Coinbase will soon add ETC to their platform, which means LTC market cap and attention will decrease even further.
Litecoin is extremely overpriced. Remember, in 2014, LTC crashed 97% from its all-time high and went sideways for 2 years. So far, this crash has followed the same pattern.
My LTC target before the end of 2018 is ATH-97% = $9.60. This will be followed by sideways for at least 6 months to a year, with a final pump that will take LTC to no higher than $48 (2013 HIGH), followed by another 97% crash which will ultimately kill the coin as it will be back at $1,44.
Anyone talking about LTC $200+ or higher, or even 1K, are not just delusional fools, but they are actually trying to scam you. Ignore those people and sell all your litecoins while there is still time and while these worthless tokens are still worth something.
as you know prices of altcoins depends mostly on BTCUSD price and marketing. When BTC starts to recover, LTC will follow and nobody will look at LTCUSD charts and resistances on it. People will blindly buy it just because BTCUSD is going up. LTC has the best adoption of all cryptos and great marketing as well. Its a safe bet.
