Tesla's current valuation is simply put - INSANE. The recent run up has occurred off the back of Elon's announcement that the company will be producing batter storage systems for personal and industrial buildings. This is by no means a game changer for the unprofitable company and provides a nice pump right before next weeks earnings report. I am pretty confident that earnings will not exceed expectations (what the stock needs to break higher) and will more than likely see a dramatic sell off after the earnings report.

In this case, buying puts will be much better than shorting outright in my opinion.
