KST Multi-Timeframe

Bitcoin / TetherUSBinance

Описание

Developed by Martin Pring, Know Sure Thing (KST) is a momentum oscillator based on the smoothed rate-of-change for four different timeframes.

KST fluctuates above/below the zero line. At its most basic, momentum favors the bulls when KST is positive and the bears when KST is negative.

Even though there are many different signals possible with KST, the basic centerline and signal line crossovers are usually the most robust. Unlike RSI and the Stochastic Oscillator, KST does not have upper or lower limits. This makes it relatively ill-suited for overbought and oversold signals.

I added the possibility to add on the chart a 2nd timeframe for confirmation.

If you found this script useful, a tip is always welcome... :)

Hi Ken, nice work! This is nice but the weekly time frame KST uses different ROC inputs then the daily. Therefore if you are using a daily chart, and select the different timeframe to Weekly, the values computed for weekly are not exactly as Pring's formulas. Any idea how to resolve this?

Hi Ken,

Can you please throw some light on red & green dots that appear in the kst indicator chart ?
KenLeShim
@grs2121, Hi, yes, the dots are the higher timeframe KST.
So red dots are the higher time frame red line and the green dots are the higher timeframe green line.

@KenLeShim,

Thank you sir.

But when green dot and red dot swap their positions? What's the importance or what do we read in this change? Please explain.
KenLeShim
@grs2121, Do you know the meaning of the green/red lines for KST indicator ?
If yes, then the dots have exactly the same meaning but for the higher timeframe chosen... this is just a standard multi-timeframe indicator...
