Losing trades

The total count of all closed positions that resulted in a negative financial return.

Strict requirement: Only trades with a final profit less than zero are counted.

Exclusions: This metric strictly excludes any trades that ended in a profit, as well as "even" or trades (where P&L is exactly 0). It does not account for currently open positions.

Strategic value: High frequency of losing trades is not always a sign of a bad strategy (e.g., trend-following strategies often have many small losses), but it should be monitored alongside average losing trade to ensure account safety.
