Storage: the most profitable business in America
Instead of telling you about trading fundamentals, I believe it's better to speak about why people open storage facilities in the first place.
9.5% of all Canadians rent Self-Storage space. It's a recurring bill for about 3.5 million Canadians each month. On average they pay 150 CAD a month. That's about 1800 CAD a year on average for every Canadian.
It is the single most profitable business, yielding about 30% cash on cash returns per year.
