2024 MidCap Mania Theory: Rise of Ecosystem Stacks

Posting this idea up to see where it is in the future
Ecosystem Stacks being created similar to how Linux, Windows, and OS in the 90's
The image of crypto is shaping up. The layer 1 narrative seems dead but I think the game is just repositioning itself.
what is happening now is that our favorite blockchains are focusing on creating blockchain infrastructure ecosystem stacks that roll up from L1's and go all the way to the application layers.
Companies, Apps, developers will be able to chose their ecosystem stack and leverage a developer group that can help them create the blockchain they need for their application.
Similar to to chosing (internet providers, cable tv providers, cell phone providers) .. this means we are seeing the birth of block chain operating system stacks and teams that can deliver everything a blockchain needs. End users pick "a la carte" .
example stack = Eth->Polygon->IMX->WarnerBros. studios
example stack = Sol->Render->Disney
example stack = Dot> Cardano > Circle
example stack = Bitcoin -> ICP -> appSpecificChain
Chart is Total3 (minus USDC and Tether) versus (BTC+Eth)
a good way to see if Eth and BTC lose market share
My theory is that the midcaps are the place to be this cycle. but 2024 is likely an ugly ride after that initial pump.

you will start to see more chain "parnerships" Near+Matic , Ada+Poldadotthis is where foundations and developer teams shine (solana labs, polygon labs, avax labs, optimism foundation, parity/substrate . .etc)
The can take the block chain stack and pitch their full service offering to companies, devs, and app builders.
Ankr is doing this as well. I believe chainlink will do this as well.
but this is how crypto goes mainstream imo

amazing to see the rise of "ecosystems" has led basically to the rise of Ecosystem Memes & NFT's as a way to measure network growth
does this continue as more liquidity enters other ecosystems... i think so
but at some point the time to de-risk will show up. ..
That is not now (even though we likely get a pull back between now and Q4) .. but when? how far will things go?
im not betting on it. just positioning in cheap places and waiting.

The concept of MidCap needed to be adjusted. Money still flows through ecosystems
but the main winner will be memes and the conept of midcap is not 5B tech chain with 15M of daily volume
midcap is still 10m to 500M
and oddly enough there are a lot of memes on the main chains (relative to value) that are in this (mid cap) range.
smaller chains have microcap size 10M or less memes.
Still expecting these plays to have the highest risk to reward. either they go 0 or fly .
going to be fun to watch the next few months
