FTC Investigating Amazon, Google Ad Practices, Bloomberg Says

- The Federal Trade Commission's consumer protection unit is investigating whether Amazon and Google failed to properly disclose the terms and pricing to place ads on its websites, Bloomberg said in a report, citing people familiar with the matter.
- The FTC is examining whether Amazon disclosed price floors advertisers must meet before they can buy an ad and whether Google increased the cost of ads in ways that weren't disclosed to advertisers, according to the report.
- The FTC and Google declined to comment, while Amazon didn't respond to a request for comment, Bloomberg said.
