FAQ
Q. Why do I have an error "Order's limit (2000) was reached"?
A. Tradingview limits the maximum number of backtesting trades to 2000 in order to have a better work of their server. This error usually comes up at the low time frame, as more signals are generated. I have added a time range option in setting so that you can shorten the backtesting period.
Q. Why the Net Profit and Avg Trade are 0% but showing 92.83% Percent Profitable?
A. Please understand that Strategy Tester has rounded up the percentages to 2 decimal places. If the price of your selected instrument has more than 2 decimal places, it would be very likely that the value could not be shown correctly. While the price is fixed, the Net Profit and Avg Trade are dependent on the value of Initial Capital (default 100000) and Order Size (default 1 Contracts) in Properties setting. By reducing Initial Capital and increasing Order Size, the value of Net Profit and Avg Trade would be more noticeable.
