Smart Money Detection (The Trigger): The engine first scans the chart for signs of intense, urgent buying or selling. It does this by identifying Fair Value Gaps (FVGs) created by large, high-volume Displacement Candles. This is our initial Point of Interest (POI).
Cost Basis Calculation (The Average Price): Once a potential Smart Money move is detected, the indicator calculates the Volume-Weighted Average Price (VWAP) for that specific move. This gives us a highly accurate estimate of the average price at which the large players entered their positions.

When a pivot confirms, the script records the price and the creation bar (offset by the right lookback).

This Overlay locates price levels where both structure and participation have been meaningful. It combines classical swing points with a volume filter, then manages those levels on the chart as price evolves. Each level carries:
• A reference price (support or resistance)
• An estimate of the volume that traded around that price
• A touch counter that updates when price retests it
• A visual box whose thickness is scaled by volatility
The result is a concise map of candidate support and resistance that is informed by both price location and how much trading occurred there.
How levels are built
Find structural pivots uses ta.pivothigh and ta.pivotlow with a user set sensitivity. Larger sensitivity looks for broader swings. Smaller sensitivity captures tighter turns.
Require meaningful volume computes an average volume over a lookback period and forms a volume ratio for the current bar. A pivot only becomes a level when the ratio is at least the volume significance multiplier.
Avoid clustering checks a minimum level distance (as a percent of price). If a candidate is too close to an existing level, it is skipped to keep the map readable.
Attach a volume strength to the level estimates volume strength by averaging the volume of recent bars whose high to low range spans that price. Levels with unusually high strength are flagged as high volume.
Store and draw levels are kept in an array with fields for price, type, volume, touches, creation bar, and a box handle. On the last bar, each level is drawn as a horizontal box centered at the price with a vertical thickness scaled by ATR. Borders are thicker when the level is marked high volume. • Aging and pruning : levels are removed if they are too old relative to the lookback or if you exceed the maximum active levels.

• Boxes : support boxes are green, resistance boxes are red. Box height uses an ATR based thickness so tolerance scales with volatility. Transparency is fixed in this version. Borders are thicker on high volume levels.

This strategy is inspired by smart money concepts (SMC) and ICT (Inner Circle Trader) methodologies, aiming to capture venom-like "stings" in price action where liquidity is grabbed before reversals.
How It Works
ATR Calculation: Uses a user-defined ATR length (default: 14) to measure volatility, which scales candle body and range thresholds.
Bias Determination:
Auto: Compares daily close to open (bullish if close > open).
Manual: User selects "Bullish" or "Bearish."
Strong Candles:
Bullish: Green candle with body > 2x ATR (configurable).
Bearish: Red candle with body > 2x ATR.
Small Range Candles:
Candles where high-low < 0.5x ATR (configurable).
Liquidity Hunt:
Bullish Hunt: Strong bearish candle making a new low below the past swing low (default: 10 bars).
Bearish Hunt: Strong bullish candle making a new high above the past swing high.
Signal Generation:
After a hunt, counts 1-3 small-range candles.
Confirms with a strong candle in the opposite direction (e.g., strong bullish after bearish hunt).
Resets if >3 small candles or an opposing strong candle appears.
Kill Zone Filter:
Checks if the current bar's time (in UTC) falls within London or NY Kill Zones.
Only allows final "Buy" (bullish entry) or "Sell" (bearish entry) if bias matches and in Kill Zone.

HTF Current/Average RangeThe "HTF(Higher Timeframe) Current/Average Range" indicator calculates and displays the current and average price ranges across multiple timeframes, including daily, weekly, monthly, 4 hour, and user-defined custom timeframes.
Users can customize the lookback period, table size, timeframe, and font color; with the indicator efficiently updating on the final bar to optimize performance.

The request.security function (e.g., = request.security(syminfo.tickerid, "D", , lookahead = barmerge.lookahead_off)) retrieves high and low prices from specified timeframes without lookahead bias, ensuring accurate historical data.
These values are used to compute current ranges and average ranges (ta.sma(high - low, avgLength)), which are then displayed in a dynamically generated table starting at (if barstate.islast) using table.new, with conditional green highlighting when the current range is greater than average range, providing a clear visual cue for volatility analysis.

Important Nuance Regarding Pivot Label Display
Due to a self-imposed limit within this script's drawing management logic, the indicator might quickly reach its drawing capacity if you enable pivot crosses for multiple timeframes simultaneously. When this internal drawing limit is exceeded, the script is designed to automatically remove the oldest drawings to make space for new ones.
Therefore, to ensure optimal performance and visibility of the most recent and relevant pivots, it's highly recommended to only enable the "Show Pivot Crosses" option for one timeframe at a time. If you wish to view pivots for a different timeframe, simply disable the pivot crosses for the currently active timeframe and then enable them for your desired one. This approach prevents the rapid cycling and disappearance of pivot labels, providing a clearer and more stable visual experience.
In-Depth Explanation of the Logic
This script is built on two primary concepts: pivot points and Smart Money Technique (SMT) divergence. It systematically collects historical data on multiple timeframes, identifies pivots, and then compares them between two assets to find divergences.
Pivot Point Identification
A pivot is a turning point in the market. A pivot high is a candle that has a higher high than the candles to its immediate left and right. Conversely, a pivot low is a candle with a lower low than its neighbors.
How it Works in the Script:
The script tracks the highest high and lowest low for each period of the selected timeframe (e.g., for each 4-hour candle). When a new high-timeframe candle closes, it stores that high/low value and its bar index in an array. The checkForPivot() function then checks if a recently stored high or low qualifies as a pivot.
Key Inputs:
Left Strength (leftBars1): The number of candles to the left that must have a lower high (for a pivot high) or higher low (for a pivot low).
Right Strength (rightBars1): The number of candles to the right that must meet the same criteria.
For example, with Left Strength and Right Strength both set to 3, a pivot high is only confirmed when its high is greater than the highs of the 3 previous high-timeframe candles and the 3 subsequent high-timeframe candles. Increasing these values will identify more significant, longer-term pivots.
Smart Money Technique (SMT) Divergence
SMT Divergence is a concept popularized by The Inner Circle Trader (ICT). It occurs when two closely correlated assets fail to move in sync. For instance, if Asset A makes a higher high but Asset B fails to do so and instead makes a lower high, this creates a bearish SMT divergence. It suggests that the "smart money" may not be supporting the move in Asset A, signaling a potential reversal.
Bearish SMT: Main asset makes a higher high, while the correlated asset makes a lower high. This is a potential sell signal.
Bullish SMT: Main asset makes a lower low, while the correlated asset makes a higher low. This is a potential buy signal.
How it Works in the Script:
Data Request: For each timeframe, the script uses the request.security() function to fetch the high and low data for both the main chart symbol (syminfo.tickerid) and the chosen Comparison Asset.
Pivot Comparison: When a new pivot is confirmed on the main asset, the script checks if a corresponding pivot also formed on the comparison asset at the same time.
Divergence Check: It then compares the direction of the pivots. For a bearish SMT, it checks if the main asset's new pivot high is higher than its previous pivot high, while the comparison asset's new pivot high is lower than its previous one. The logic is reversed for bullish SMT.
Visualization: If a divergence is found, the script draws a red (bearish) or green (bullish) line connecting the two pivots on your chart and places an "SMT" label.
Early SMT Detection
This is a proactive feature designed to give you a heads-up. Waiting for a 4-hour or daily pivot to form can take a long time. The early detection system looks for SMT divergences on a much smaller, user-defined Detection timeframe (e.g., 15-minute).
How it Works in the Script:
Awaiting Setup: After a primary pivot (Pivot A) is formed on the main timeframe (e.g., a Daily pivot high), the script begins monitoring.
Intraday Monitoring: It then watches the Detection timeframe (e.g., 15-minute) for smaller intraday pivots.
Potential Divergence: It looks for an intraday pivot that forms a divergence against the primary Pivot A.
Watchline & Alert: When this "potential" divergence occurs, the script draws a dashed white line and triggers a "Potential SMT" alert. This isn't a confirmed SMT on the main timeframe yet, but it's a powerful early warning that one may be forming.
Drawing & Object Management
To keep the chart clean and prevent performance issues, the script manages its drawings (lines and labels) efficiently. It stores them in arrays and uses a drawing limit to automatically delete the oldest drawings as new ones are created, ensuring your TradingView remains responsive.
How to Use the Indicator
Configuration
Enable Timeframes: Use the checkboxes (Enable Timeframe 1, Enable Timeframe 2, etc.) to activate the timeframes you want to monitor. It's often best to start with one or two to keep the chart clean.
Select Timeframes: Choose the higher timeframes you want to analyze (e.g., 240 for 4-hour, D for Daily, W for Weekly).
Set Pivot Strength: The default of 3 for Left/Right strength is a good starting point. Increase it to find more significant market structure points or decrease it for more frequent, shorter-term pivots.
Configure SMT:
Check Enable SMT for the timeframes where you want to detect divergence.
Enter a Comparison Asset . This is crucial. Ensure the assets are correlated.
To use the early warning system, check Enable early SMT detection and select an appropriate Detection timeframe (e.g., 15 or 60 minutes for a Daily analysis).
Fair Value MSThis indicator introduces rigid rules to familiar concepts to better capture and visualize Market Structure and Areas of Support and Resistance in a way that is both rule-based and reactive to market movements.
Typical "Market Structure" or "Zig-Zag" methods determine swing points based on fixed thresholds (length or percentage). While this does provide rigid structure, the results may be lagging or confusing due to the timing, since it is fixed to static parameters.
I believe the concept of Fair Value Gaps can solve this problem.
As you will notice, there are no length settings in this indicator.
> FVG Market Structure
Fair Value Gaps are a well known concept used to indicate directional intent, forming when price moves aggressively in one direction, leaving behind an imbalance between buyers and sellers. While the term FVG was popularized by ICT, the underlying concept predates them, known historically as imbalances, inefficiencies, or liquidity voids in institutional trading.
Note: For simplicity, in this indicator they'll be called FVGs.
By reading into this, we are able to clearly and rigidly define market structure simply by "looking" at the chart, using objective price events rather than subjective interpretation, or lengths.
By using FVGs to determine structure direction, the length, and speed of identification lies entirely on the market. If an FVG Down occurs immediately after a New Higher High forms, it is reasonable to assume there was a seller at that point, so the script would indicate a New Swing High.
The script is NOT stuck, waiting for a % retrace, or # bars to pass to identify it as such.
Sometimes the market is in a steady trend in a single direction and no FVGs form; therefore, no structure forms. -> Why would we try to impose structure on a clear trend?
Ultimately, the FVG Structure Method uses real reactions from the market to determine Market structure, and is not fixed to specific parameters.
As with other market structure indicators, "Market Structure Breaks" are still identifiable when price moves outside the most recent swing points.
These are helpful to indicate larger direction. In the following section you will see how these help us determine when we should start the search for an "Area of Interest (AOI)".
> Areas of Interest (AOIs)
"Area of Interest (AOI)" is a generalized term, and could refer to many types of zones you might recognize under different names. While the AOIs in this indicator are specialized in their own way, I have chosen to simply use the term "Area of Interest" because it’s more important to understand how they behave and why they exist than to focus on what they’re called.
The goal of an AOI is to point out reasonable areas where buyers or sellers may be staging, as is typical with support and resistance.
In order to reasonably identify these areas, we look for cause and effect relationships. When considering these relationships, it's easier to understand the placement of the points to define each zone.
(Buyer Examples)
Cause: Strong Buyers step in at Swing Low
Effect: Fair Value Gap Forms
Cause: Sustained Buying Pressure
Effect: Market Structure Breaks
In this example, The zone is drawn from the Swing Low, to the Bottom of the FVG closest to the swing point.
In theory, the participation at the swing point was strong and aggressive enough to create the FVG imbalance. Which then found acceptance and continued into a Market Structure Break. So with these AOIs, we are trying to locate the aggressive Buyers or Sellers which were positioned BEFORE the FVG.
These Zones are intended to act as areas to look for reactions from market participants, to judge where price may be going. When revisiting these zones, we look for a reaction or a break, to further provide us information to if the buyers or sellers are still there.
As seen in the screenshot above, The information we gain is not from the creation of these zones, but from the behavior we witness when these zones are revisited.
Technical Note: In this indicator, Market Structure Breaks are only considered when price closes outside the recent swing points. Wicks are not considered as confirmation, therefore are not used to detect structural breaks.
Inside each AOI you can optionally display a readout of the volume which accumulated during the time starting at the swing point and going until the closing bar of the FVG.
Note: We are counting volume until the closing bar of the FVG since the FVG is a 3 bar formation, and aggressive volume is required throughout to create the imbalance.
There are multiple FVGs that typically occur in a single direction, but we do not look to every single one to be indicative of structure, only the first FVG in the opposite direction of the previous direction (which is determined by previous FVGs)
You will probably notice, the AOIs do not form from the closest swing or FVG to the break, this is because we are targeting larger directional changes to draw these AOIs from.
Since they do not always happen perfectly every time, the AOI formation waits for an FVG to occur AND a Market structure break to happen. One without the other will result in no Zone displaying.
> Reflection Lines
While they may seem slightly redundant, Reflection Lines serve as reminders of previous support and resistance pivots. They are drawn at the same Pivots where and AOI is formed, and extend beyond the mitigation of the AOI.
These lines are often points of price to look for "Support Flips", a re-test pattern where price trades through previous support (or resistance) then returns to it and rejects, continuing into a larger move or trend.
Their namesake is based on the behavior of price, "reflecting" at these levels.
The Reflection lines are simple and change color based on price's location.
If price is above, we would typically look to a reflection line in with support in mind.
As a basic filter, these lines use an average price to determine their color, this way they will not change their color as frequently in choppy situations.
> Session Start/End Lines
For analysis purposes and trade review, it is helpful to analyze with context.
For that reason, I have implemented start and end session lines into the indicator, these are helpful when reviewing historical charts to not provide additional context.
By default, they are set to the NYSE Session, but can be changed to fit any needs.
These lines are not advanced, and simply draw a line as the chart passes the start and end of the sessions. It's very likely that you may need to adjust the session for your specific needs.
Note: The Timezone can be adjusted within the code if needed. By Default, the indicator uses "America/New_York" Timezone.
> Conclusion
If you’ve ever felt like your structure tools were confusing or lagging, drawing zones too late, or zones that simply don't make sense, this should feel like a breath of fresh air.
By removing arbitrary length settings and instead using FVGs to define structure and as a basis for AOIs, you're getting a more accurate look at what price is doing and where it's reacting from.
This indicator is rule-based, reactive, and aims to keep things logical without fluff or false confidence.
