This works in steady markets but produces false signals during volatility spikes and misses early reversals during compression. SmartTrend Pro replaces every component of this pipeline with an adaptive alternative, creating a system where each stage feeds the next: Ehlers-filtered price → Kaufman-adaptive ATR → Volatility bands → Trend direction → Confluence scoring → Filtered signal → Risk levels The Ehlers Super Smoother removes high-frequency noise from the price before the trend bands are calculated — this prevents the trend engine from reacting to random wicks. The Kaufman adaptive ATR widens bands when volatility is real (sustained directional movement) and tightens them during choppy, low-efficiency conditions — making the trend change threshold automatically adjust. The confluence scoring system then evaluates each trend flip against five independent market factors before allowing the signal to fire. An Ehlers filter without adaptive bands still produces false crossovers. Adaptive bands without scoring still trigger on weak trend flips. Scoring without frozen TP/SL creates drifting targets. The integrated pipeline solves all three problems simultaneously. 🔍 WHAT MAKES IT ORIGINAL 1️⃣ Adaptive Volatility Trend Engine (AVTE) — custom trend algorithm. The AVTE replaces the standard Supertrend calculation at every stage: Stage 1 — Price filtering: Instead of using raw price, the AVTE applies an Ehlers 2-pole Super Smoother to the source. The Ehlers filter uses the transfer function: ss = c1 × (src + src ) × 0.5 + c2 × ss + c3 × ss where c1 = 1 − c2 − c3, c2 = 2a × cos(√2 × π / period), c3 = −a², and a = exp(−√2 × π / period). This produces zero-lag frequency-domain filtering — it removes high-frequency noise without the phase distortion that a simple moving average introduces. Stage 3 — Band calculation and trend direction: Upper band = filtered_price + sensitivity × adaptive_ATR. Lower band = filtered_price − sensitivity × adaptive_ATR. Bands ratchet in the trend direction: the lower band can only rise (never fall) during uptrends, the upper band can only fall during downtrends. When close crosses above the upper band, trend flips bullish. When close crosses below the lower band, trend flips bearish. The trend line follows the lower band in uptrends, upper band in downtrends (step-line visualization). The Sensitivity parameter (default 2.5) controls how far the bands sit from filtered price. Lower = tighter bands, more signals, faster reaction. Higher = wider bands, fewer signals, smoother. 2️⃣ Multi-confluence scoring system (0–100). Every AVTE trend flip is evaluated against five independent market factors before becoming a signal: Factor 1 — EMA alignment (±15 pts): Checks whether close > EMA(50) > EMA(200) for bullish alignment, or close < EMA(50) < EMA(200) for bearish. Full alignment = +15 (bull) or −15 (bear). No alignment = 0. This confirms the trend flip aligns with the broader trend structure. Factor 2 — RSI position (±10 pts): RSI(14) between 50–70 = +10 (bullish momentum without overextension). RSI 30–50 = −10 (bearish). Extremes (>70 or <30) score 0 — avoiding signals at overbought/oversold levels where reversals are more likely. Factor 3 — MACD histogram direction (±12 pts): MACD(12,26,9) histogram > 0 and rising = +12 (accelerating bullish momentum). Histogram < 0 and falling = −12 (accelerating bearish). Three stop-loss modes: — ATR : SL distance = adaptive ATR × configurable multiplier (default 1.5×) — Percentage : SL distance = fixed percentage of entry price — Structure : SL distance = half the recent swing range (highest high − lowest low over swing lookback) TP levels are calculated as multiples of SL distance: TP1 = SL × 1.5 (default), TP2 = SL × 2.5, TP3 = SL × 4.0. The SL distance is frozen at entry — once a signal fires, the risk distance is locked and does not change with subsequent volatility. This prevents TP/SL levels from drifting as ATR changes post-entry. TP hit markers (×) appear on the chart as each level is reached. An optional Chandelier Exit trailing stop follows price using the ATR multiplier, ratcheting in the profit direction. 6️⃣ Pullback signals within established trends. The dashboard displays a real-time volatility reading (0–100%) calculated as: gauge = (ATR(10) − (SMA(ATR, 20) − StDev(ATR, 20))) / (2 × StDev(ATR, 20)) × 100, clamped to 0–100. This measures where current volatility sits relative to its recent statistical distribution: > 70% = High (above 1 standard deviation), 40–70% = Medium, < 40% = Low. This helps you assess whether the current environment suits your strategy: high volatility favors wider stops and fewer signals, low volatility favors tighter approaches. 8️⃣ Multi-timeframe trend panel (non-repainting). The dashboard includes an MTF panel showing trend direction on 5M, 15M, 1H, 4H, and 1D — using close > EMA(200) with lookahead_on for guaranteed non-repainting. When most timeframes align in one direction, trend-flip signals in that direction have higher confluence. 9️⃣ Session detection. The dashboard shows the current active trading session: Tokyo, London, New York, Sydney, or overlaps (London/New York, Tokyo/London). Sessions are calculated using UTC-based time windows. This helps you contextualize volatility: London/New York overlap is typically the highest-volume period, while off-hours have thinner liquidity. 🔟 Four optional filters. Automatic Fibonacci Levels [WillyAlgoTrader]Automatic Fibonacci Levels is an overlay indicator that detects the dominant swing high and swing low within the visible chart area, draws a full Fibonacci retracement and extension grid between them, highlights the Optimal Trade Entry (OTE) zone at 61.8%–78.6%, marks a target zone at the −50% to −61.8% extension, and labels four take-profit levels — all updating automatically as you scroll or zoom the chart. Most Fibonacci tools on TradingView are either manual (you draw them yourself and they become stale as price evolves) or pivot-based (anchored to a fixed lookback period that may not match the swing you're actually looking at). This indicator takes a different approach: it uses the visible chart range as its context. It finds the highest high and lowest low within what you can currently see, determines trend direction based on which came first, and draws the full Fibonacci grid accordingly. When you scroll or zoom to a different area, the grid adapts — making it a dynamic analysis companion rather than a static drawing tool. 🔍 WHAT MAKES IT ORIGINAL 1. Visible-range swing detection. Instead of using a fixed pivot lookback or requiring manual anchor placement, the indicator scans the chart's visible window (chart.left_visible_bar_time to chart.right_visible_bar_time) to find the absolute high and low. This means the Fibonacci grid always reflects the swing structure you are currently analyzing. Zoom into a 50-bar range to see intraday retracements; zoom out to 500 bars to see the macro structure — the grid adjusts automatically. When the visible range changes (scroll or zoom), swing detection resets and recalculates. 2. Automatic trend direction from swing sequence. The indicator determines bullish or bearish bias by comparing when the swing low and swing high occurred. If the swing low formed first and the swing high formed later, the trend is classified as bullish (retracement levels are drawn down from the high, extensions project upward). If the swing high came first, the trend is bearish (retracement down from the low, extensions project downward). No manual input is needed — the grid orientation follows the price structure. 3. OTE Entry Zone + Target Zone as highlighted boxes. Two key zones are highlighted with semi-transparent boxes: — Entry Zone (61.8%–78.6%) : the Optimal Trade Entry area from ICT/SMC methodology — the deep retracement zone where institutional re-entry is most likely — Target Zone (−50% to −61.8%) : the extension zone where breakout moves frequently reach Both zones have configurable colors and optional text labels ("ENTRY ZONE" / "TARGET ZONE") inside them. Zone-touch alerts fire when price enters either box for the first time. 4. Four labeled take-profit levels. TP labels are placed at key Fibonacci levels to provide a structured scale-out framework: — TP1 at 38.2% (first retracement target — conservative exit) — TP2 at 0% (full swing retest — swing high in uptrend, swing low in downtrend) — TP3 at −27.2% (first Fibonacci extension) — TP4 at −61.8% (deep extension — runner target) Each TP level is only displayed if the corresponding Fibonacci line is enabled, keeping the chart clean. 5. 16 individually toggleable levels. The indicator supports a comprehensive set of levels: 0%, 23.6%, 38.2%, 50%, 61.8%, 70.6%, 78.6%, 100% (standard retracements), plus 18%, 150%, 200% (deep retracements), and −18%, −27.2%, −50%, −61.8%, −100% (extensions). Each level can be toggled on or off independently, so you can configure exactly the grid density you prefer — from a minimal 4-level setup to a full 16-level deep analysis. ⚙️ HOW IT WORKS Swing detection: On every bar, the script checks whether the current bar falls within the chart's visible time window (using chart.left_visible_bar_time and chart.right_visible_bar_time). Within this window, it tracks the highest high and lowest low, along with their bar indices. When the visible window changes (scroll/zoom), all swing data resets and recalculates from scratch. This ensures the grid always reflects your current view. Trend direction: If swingLowBarIdx < swingHighBarIdx (low came first), the trend is classified as bullish — Fibonacci levels count downward from the swing high (0% = high, 100% = low), and extensions project above the high. If the high came first, the trend is bearish — levels count upward from the swing low, extensions project below. Level calculation: Each Fibonacci level is calculated as: price = anchor ± (swingRange × ratio), where the anchor and direction depend on the trend bias. For a bullish trend: 0% = swingHigh, 61.8% = swingHigh − range × 0.618, −50% = swingHigh + range × 0.5. For bearish: mirrored. Zone detection: The Entry Zone (61.8%–78.6%) and Target Zone (−50% to −61.8%) are computed as price ranges. On each confirmed bar, the script checks if the close falls within either zone. A zone-touch alert fires on the first confirmed bar inside the zone (no repeated alerts while price stays in the zone). The inEntryZone / inTargetZone state resets when price leaves, allowing re-entry detection. Drawing: All visual elements (lines, labels, boxes) are drawn on barstate.islast and cleaned up on each redraw to prevent accumulation. Lines extend from 2 bars before the current bar to the label offset position. It uses either automatically detected swing points or manually selected anchors and then builds a forward projection framework based on the relative movement between X and A. 1. Anchor Point Selection (X, A, B) The script first determines three key price points that define the reference movement. Automatic mode When manual anchors are disabled, the indicator scans historical bars to detect local highs and lows using a fixed number of bars on the left and right side. A pivot high is confirmed only after enough future bars exist, and the same applies to pivot lows. This avoids using information that is not yet available in real time. Detected pivots are stored in sequence: The previous confirmed pivot becomes X The next confirmed pivot becomes A The most recent confirmed pivot becomes B To avoid repeatedly using the same type of pivot, the script alternates between highs and lows. This ensures that X, A, and B always represent a swing structure instead of a flat sequence. Manual mode When manual anchors are enabled, the user defines three timestamps. Example 1: In this chart, we are analyzing the TP and SL probabilities as well as the EV (expected value) for a stock. I want to check what the likelihood is that my SL and TP get triggered over the next 5 days. The stock market is open for 6.5 hours per day, which is 13 bars in this 30-minute bar chart. 26 bars is 2 days, 39 bars is 3 days and so on. Although this trade is more likely to trigger my SL than my TP, in some of the time horizons we have a positive expected value because of the risk/reward of our trade (i.e. distance of the SL and TP from the price) and the probability of hitting SL and TP. Example 2: In this example, we have applied the indicator to gold. Because the TP is much closer to the price, the probability of hitting the TP is much higher. We can also observe that the expected Value in the shorter time frames is better than in the longer ones. This can give us some clues to set up our trade. WaveTrend Divergences, Candle Colouring and TP Signal [LuciTech]WaveTrend is a momentum-based oscillator designed to track trend strength, detect divergences, and highlight potential take-profit zones using Bollinger Bands. It provides a clear visualization of market conditions to help traders identify trend shifts and exhaustion points. The WaveTrend Oscillator consists of a smoothed momentum line (WT Line) and a signal line, which work together to indicate trend direction and possible reversals. When the WT Line crosses above the signal line, it suggests bullish momentum, while crossing below signals bearish momentum. Candle colouring changes dynamically based on WaveTrend crossovers. If the WT Line crosses above the signal line, candles turn bullish. If the WT Line crosses below the signal line, candles turn bearish. This provides an immediate visual cue for trend direction. Divergence Detection identifies when price action contradicts the WaveTrend movement. Bullish Divergence appears when price makes a lower low, but the WT Line forms a higher low, suggesting weakening bearish pressure. Bearish Divergence appears when price makes a higher high, but the WT Line forms a lower high, indicating weakening bullish pressure. Plus (+) Divergences are stronger signals that occur when the first pivot of the divergence happens at an extreme level—above +60 for bearish divergence or below -60 for bullish divergence. These levels suggest the market is overbought or oversold, making the divergence more significant. Bollinger Band Signals highlight potential take-profit zones by detecting when the WT Line moves beyond its upper or lower Bollinger Band. When the WT Line crosses above the signal line, it suggests buying pressure, and when it crosses below, it indicates selling pressure. Divergences are detected by comparing pivot highs and lows in price with pivot highs and lows in the WT Line. A pivot forms when a local high or low is confirmed after a certain number of bars. The indicator tracks whether price action and the WT Line are making opposite movements. If a divergence occurs and the first pivot was beyond ±60, it is marked as a Plus Divergence, making it a stronger reversal signal.
